Deputy Head of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva stated that Ukraine is ready to discuss the issue of the country’s neutral status.
“Such questions could be discussed in the negotiations. However, serious negotiations will be possible only if Vladimir Putin is meeting with Vladimir Zelensky. Zelensky is ready for this. Unfortunately, the Russian side does not want to do this,” said Jovkva on the air of German Channel Ard.
He stressed that Ukraine’s international partners should help in carrying out such a meeting.
“Such negotiations and a possible agreement could only occur after the cessation of hostilities and ceasefire. At such a meeting, it would be possible to discuss how the possible neutrality of Ukraine could look like. We need tough guarantees so that such a situation never happened,” – he added.
