As a result of operational-search measures conducted by the Main Directorate for Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, illegal actions of officials involved in the design of illegal deforestation were identified, the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
The grounds were revealed for suspicions that an employee of the Main Production Administration of landscaping enterprises under the executive branch of the city of Baku Anar Abbasaliev and an employee of the economic association for landscaping Natig Abbasov received money from citizens to assist in illegal cutting of trees in the territory of public facilities Food in the capital. Natig Abbasov was detained red -handed when receiving part of the money.
On the identified facts in the main management, criminal cases have been instituted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. The indicated persons were charged under Articles 178.2.3 (fraud using the official position), 32.4, 312.1 (incitement to the giving bribe) and other articles of the Criminal Code. In relation to them, a court of restraint was chosen by a court decision in the form of house arrest with the removal from office.
