Oldest veteran of Great Patriotic War died

In North Ossetia, at the age of 105, the oldest veteran of the Great Patriotic War Timofey Marzoev died. This was announced by the head of the republic Sergey Mamilo on the social network Facebook.

“Timofey Marzoev’s veteran was gone today. In the spring of this year, we congratulated Timothy Georgievich with the 105th anniversary, a certificate of the Book of Records of Russia as the oldest veteran of the country, listened to his front stories,” the report says.

As noted by “Izvestia”, Mozoev participated in the liberation of the Caucasus, fought in Ukraine, in Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. Victory met in Austria. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II, medals “for the defense of the Caucasus”, “For the victory over Germany” and “for valiant work in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”
