“With regard to the influence of the Oomikron strain on the Winter Olympic Games, I think that it will definitely bring some challenges in the field of prevention and control, but thanks to China’s experience in preventing the distribution and control of COVID-19, I am fully sure that Winter Olympics will be successfully held in accordance with the schedule, “the diplomat emphasized.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the situation may affect anticoid measures during games.
Winter Olympiad in Beijing will be held from 4 to 20 February next year.
