According to the Volkan, the results of gold mining at the mine in Izmir amounted to 145,000 ounces (4,115 kg) of gold. The mine brought 2.95 billion Turkish Lire to the Turkish economy ($ 250 million).
The manager recalled that in 2020, 42 tons of gold were mined in Turkey.
