On Russia’s terms: Matvienko in Indonesia proposed delegations of Ukraine “Right today” to start negotiations

Speaker of the Russian Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko suggested that the delegations of the Ukrainian parliament be launched at the Speakers of the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Great Twenth countries (G20) in Indonesia, Russian media reports.

The media clarify that the Speaker of the Council made such a proposal during the summit in response to a statement by a representative of the Ukrainian delegation that accused Russia of aggression. Matvienko called these accusations “unproven” and “unreasonable.”

In a commentary, to reporters, after a meeting, Matvienko noted that the subject of negotiations cannot be “joining” the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia. “We are ready to stop further military operations, but on the conditions that Russia will offer,” the Russian speaker added. According to her, “there is no reaction (from the Ukrainian delegation), because Ukraine is not free in its decisions.”
