Onik Gasparyan tries to challenge Pashinyan’s decision in court

The head of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Onik Gasparyan, whose powers were terminated on March 9, appealed to the Administrative Court to challenge the decision of the prime minister to remove him from his post. Sputnik Armenia reports that this is stated in the message of the general, published on the Facebook page of the head of the information department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Samvel Asatryan.

According to Gasparyan, the official website of the Armenian government published a statement by the Prime Minister on March 10 that the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces is legally considered dismissed from his post.

“In order to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution and law in Armenia, as well as to exercise force solely on the basis of law, I appealed to the Administrative Court. I will continue my service to the motherland and the Armenian people in a different status,” Gasparyan said.
