Opening Ceremony Of Joint Exercises “Unity – 2025” Took Place In Samarkand Region Of Uzbekistan

In the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan, the opening ceremony of the joint regional exercise “Unity – 2025” was held with the participation of military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. The press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported this on Tuesday, October 14.

In the official part of the event, the National Anthems of the participating countries were played. Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized the importance of joint exercises in terms of sharing experience and wished success to the participants in the exercises.

Then the guests were presented with a concert program in which Uzbek folk songs and songs of the peoples of other participating countries were performed.

In conclusion, the military personnel participating in the exercises marched in front of podium.

The day before, a coordination meeting on the joint regional exercises “Unity – 2025” was held in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan.

The leadership of the contingents involved in the exercises from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan got acquainted with the tasks tasks.

The units completed the actions of the initial stage of regional exercises. As part of the regional exercise “Unity – 2025”, commandos and UAV crews of Azerbaijan will take part in 14 actions provided for during 20 tactical episodes of the main stage of the exercise.

Special forces of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries will simulate the conditions of modern war. In particular, it is planned to use drones.

It is noted that the military plans to practice actions to develop skills in countering terrorist threats. Joint regional exercises “Unity – 2025” will last until October 21.
