The date of the start of the Azerbaijani Championship for basketball is named, which is called ABL (basketball league of Azerbaijan from this season).

This is the 28th Azerbaijani Championship in basketball among men. The last time the title of the strongest team of the country was played in the 2019/2020 season. Then the championship was interrupted due to the pandemic.
Eight teams will take part in the ABL, including three regional ones: AAAF (Khrdalan), Ganja, NTD (Baku), Neftechi (Baku), Olympic (Sheki), Servica (Baku Baku (Baku. ), “Sabah” (Baku) and “Zirva” (Astara).
Clubs will play four circles. The teams that took the first four places will continue to fight in the playoffs. The semifinals will take place up to two victories, the final series – up to three victories of one of the teams.
The ABL will have a limit for legionnaires. No more than three foreigners will be able to be on the site at the same time. This will enable young basketball players to receive game practice and progress.
