The Secretariat of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTG) supports peaceful shares of the protest of eco -activists and representatives of NGOs on the Lachin -Khankendi road in Azerbaijan.
This is stated in the statement of the OTG Secretariat in connection with the illegal operation of natural resources in the Karabakh economic zone of Azerbaijan.
“The Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic states is seriously concerned about the illegal operation of natural resources by Armenia and criminal elements that led to the peaceful protests of representatives of civil society in the Karabakh economic zone of Azerbaijan. The organization condemns similar cases that cause serious damage to the environment and violating international law,” the notes noted In the document.
The organization emphasized that the illegal operation of the natural resources of Azerbaijan and their transportation to Armenia, the illegal presence of the residues of the Armed Forces of Armenia, the installation of mines in the territory of Azerbaijan undermine the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Such phenomena do not contribute to the achievement of peace and stability in the region, confident in the organization.
Secretariat calls for an immediate end to such illegal actions.
In addition, the statement emphasizes that OTG supports the peaceful agenda nominated at the initiative of Azerbaijan to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan.
