OSCE disowned mission sent to Armenia

The OSCE said that the group sent to Armenia on October 21-27 and the pre-named “Mission to evaluate the needs of the OSCE” is not related to the organization.

“The decision to send this group to Armenia was made by the unfortunate OSCE or the OSCE Secretariat, but on the initiative of the current OSCE chairman,” the statement said.

It is noted that the constant advice of the organization did not make such a decision, the group does not have an OSCE mandate, moreover, any funds from the OSCE budget are not spent for it. The costs of the group were paid at the expense of extra-budgetary funds, individually, some countries participating in the OSCE.

The current chairman of the OSCE is Poland.
