OSCE Secretary General discusses situation in Karabakh with Lavrov

“We work within the framework of the co-chairs of the Minsk Group to facilitate the long-term resolution of the conflict around Nagorno-Karabakh.” According to TASS, this was said to the OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid in Moscow at the negotiations with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

Schmid added that the “settlement process will also be discussed, which also shows that the OSCE supports mediation as actions to strengthen confidence measures.”

In turn, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that “today and within the framework of your other events during your stay in Russia, we will be able to exchange output with views in detail for affairs in the current activities of the OSCE for all three baskets: political, economic and environmental and right-hand-effect. And a separate large block of questions – these are conflicts to promote the settlement of which the OSCE is engaged. I mean both intracarantic, Karabakh, Transnistria, Geneva discussions in conqualism. How we say: there is something to work on something. “
