Pakistan President Asif Ali Zerdari reaffirmed his country’s determination to continue close cooperation with Turkey and Azerbaijan to promote peace, stability and prosperity.
According to a statement issued by the Office of the President of Pakistan, Zerdari received the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş and the Chairman of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Sahib Gafarov, who arrived in the country to participate in the “Trilateral meeting of the chairmen of the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Turkey.”
During the meeting with Kurtulmush and Gafarova, Zerdari expressed his determination to continue close cooperation with Turkey and Azerbaijan in order to strengthen peace, stability and well-being.
Noting that Pakistan highly values “close and friendly” ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan, the President said these relations are based on “common faith, mutual trust and the desire for regional peace and prosperity.”
President Asif Ali Zerdari noted that he highly appreciates the support that Türkiye provides to Pakistan on regional and international platforms. He emphasized that relations between the two countries in the political, economic, defense and security spheres are developing steadily.
