Pakistan Interior Minister Muhsin Naqvi said the terrorist attacks in the capital Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were carried out by Afghan citizens.
Naqvi issued a statement on the terrorist attacks in Pakistan this week.
The Interior Minister said: “Both suicide attacks involved Afghan citizens and they carried out these terrorist attacks.”
On November 11, in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, a suicide bombing near a courthouse killed 12 people and injured 36.
After the attack, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zerdari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack.
A statement from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terrorist attack in Islamabad and the terrorist attack on a school in the South Veziristan region province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 10, and also expressed grief.
Pakistan media claim that the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack in Islamabad.
