Pakistani Interior Ministry: Terrorist Attacks In Islamabad And Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province Were Organized By Afghan Citizens

Pakistan Interior Minister Muhsin Naqvi said the terrorist attacks in the capital Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province were carried out by Afghan citizens.

Naqvi issued a statement on the terrorist attacks in Pakistan this week.

The Interior Minister said: “Both suicide attacks involved Afghan citizens and they carried out these terrorist attacks.”

On November 11, in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, a suicide bombing near a courthouse killed 12 people and injured 36.

After the attack, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zerdari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack.

A statement from the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terrorist attack in Islamabad and the terrorist attack on a school in the South Veziristan region province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 10, and also expressed grief.

Pakistan media claim that the Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack in Islamabad.
