Parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan concluded memorandum

The chairman of the Milli Majib Gafarov, chairman of the Milli Majib Gafarov, met with an official visit, met with the chairman of Hulk Maslahata Millie Hengesh Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. At a meeting held then with the participation of the delegations of both Ctran Berdimuhamedov, he noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the promotion of relations with Azerbaijan. He recalled that this year the thirtieth anniversary of Azerbaijani-Turkenic diplomatic relations is performed, and all these years both countries productively and effectively collaborated in politics, economics, cultural and other areas.

Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan cooperate on many international sites, including in the movement of non -alignment, the chairman of the Hulk Maslahata continued, noting the significance of the establishment of the parliamentary network of this organization at the initiative of the Azerbaijani side. Turkmenistan intends to actively participate in the work of this network, Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

In turn, the chairman of the Milli Majlis Sahib Gafarov expressed satisfaction with the mutually beneficial cooperation of Azerbaijan with Turkmenistan. Both countries join efforts and jointly achieve success in the energy and transport sectors. Effective cooperation of the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan is one of the factors that have a positive effect on bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. There are excellent opportunities for further expansion of this cooperation, Gafarova said.

She also noted that Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan support each other in international organizations and in inter -parliamentary structures, in particular.

Next, she spoke about large -scale recovery work in the liberated territories where “smart” cities and villages are being built, infrastructure and transport projects are being implemented.

Upon completion of the meeting between the parliaments of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding and cooperation was signed.
