Pashinyan: Kocharian and Sargsyan discussed presence of Karabakh in Azerbaijan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attacked ex-presidents of Armenia Robert Kocharian and Serge Sargsyan. Speaking from the rostrum of the Pashinyan parliament, he said that the opposition is accusing him to discuss the location of Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan.

According to Pashinyan, when Robert Kocharian by the president, in November 1998, the Armenian authorities were negotiating on the basis of a project on the so -called “General state”, which suggested the presence of Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan.

“And the fact that today Kocharian and his supporters, including the Dashnaktsutyun party, say, they say, Karabakh can never be part of Azerbaijan, to put it mildly, smacks of cunning,” he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that both Robert Kocharian and Serge Sargsyan recognized Karabakh part of Azerbaijan and were not guided by the principle that “Karabakh will never be part of Azerbaijan.”
