Pashinyan played back: Pelosi is not against Russia

The visit of the speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi in Armenia did not have anti-Russian subtext, was not directed against any third country, said the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to Pashinyan, that he does not understand the logical chain, according to which it says about the formation of anti -Russian sentiments in the light of this visit in Armenia: “The US officials are not the first time to visit Armenia.”

Pashinyan noted that as part of the visit, issues of activating Armenian-American relations were discussed.

Armenian prime minister believes that Pelosi’s visit has become an important event, since it is the most high -ranking official of the United States that Armenia visited.

Pashinyan also noticed that “it was not a regional visit, but a visit specifically to Armenia … It is an assessment of democracy in Armenia. I would not want an anti -Russian context to be given this visit because it was not anti -Russian.”
