Patrushev in Iran discusses “Western intervention in internal affairs” countries

In Tehran, Russian-Iranian consultations on security issues with the participation of the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev were held, Russian media reported with reference to the press service of the Security Council.

“The topic of information security has been considered, as well as measures to counteract interference in the internal affairs of both countries of the Western special services,” the report said.

The parties emphasized the importance of the exchange of experience in developing economic potential and establishing foreign trade in conditions of sanctions. We also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the law enforcement, including ensuring public security, combating terrorism and extremism.

Also, Patrushev and Secretary of the Higher Council of National Security of Iran, Admiral Ali Shamhani, exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East.
