Pentagon stopped financing construction of a wall on border with Mexico

The US Department of Defense will no longer finance the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico at the expense of money that was initially allocated for defense. This is reported on the Pentagon website.

Deputy official representative of the department Jamal Brown reported that it was planned to collapse all the work on which money was walked, “originally intended for other military missions and functions.”

Instead of financing the border wall, money will go to other deferred military construction projects. The Pentagon is working to establish their priority.

According to NBC, part of the unspent amount of $ 1.4 billion, which was highlighted for the construction of the wall, will be used to eliminate environmental damage from its construction.
