The Pentagon is preparing to conclude a contract for Ukraine of ten large-raises of a large-range Switchblade 600. In response to a request to the Defense News portal, the Pentagon representative Jessica Maxwell.
According to her, the contract and assembly of the drones of Switchblade 600 Aerovironment is expected within the next 30 days. It is still unknown exactly when Ukraine will receive these drones.
The United States previously transferred the so -called barracking shells to Ukraine – they are able to be in the air for a certain time before they amaze the target. These are, in particular, the smaller drones of Switchblade 300 and the PHONIX GHOST drones. At the same time, they note in the Pentagon, the supply of new drones is complicated by the fact that they are still considered a prototype in the USA, so before sending, they must be tested and evaluated.

Switchblade 600 can fly more than 40 km and hang over the target for 40 minutes before attacking with an anti -tank warhead. The drone operator uses a tablet control system with a touch screen and the ability to manually pilot a barracking missile.
