Pentagon: Ukraine goes forward in Kherson

The Armed Forces of Ukraine “consolidate their conquests” by liberation of the territory in the Kharkov region, as well as move forward in the Kherson region. This was reported by CNN with reference to the press secretary of the Pentagon Pat Ryder.

“In the north, according to our estimates, Ukrainians consolidate their conquests after returning a significant territory, and Russians try to strengthen their defensive lines after they were thrown back,” he said.

Ryder also stated that Ukrainian forces are committing a “deliberate, prudent movement forward” by his counterattack in the Kherson area. “As always, we are still focused on providing them with support that they need in their struggle,” the speaker added.

Earlier on Friday, September 16, the head of the United Coordination Press Center for the defense forces of the South, Natalya Gumenyuk, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are knocked out by Russians from all borders in the south of the country (Kherson region). And the deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Tymoshenko said that 421 settlements were already released in the Kharkov region
