Pentagon: US will stay in Syria

US will retain his military presence in Syria due to the “Islamic state” of the threat from the terrorist group. This is reported by TASS, referring to the press secretary of Pentagon John Kirby.

“They are still there and still pose a threat,” Kirby said, adding that the main part of the group forces is already broken, but still remains uncontrolled much of the territory.

US Armed Forces together with Arab-Kurdish armed groups control the territory in the north and northeast of Syria, where the largest oil and gas fields of the country are located.
