Azerbaijani Permanent Representative at the UN Yashar Aliyev announced the importance of supporting the international community oriented to the result of negotiations between Baku and Yerevan on the basis of agreed principles and obligations.
According to him, one cannot miss the still preserved opportunity to turn the enemy page and establish a strong and stable world.
Aliyev noted that after the Second Karabakh war of 2020, Baku initiated the process of normalizing interstate relations with Yerevan, however, “the approaches and actions of Armenia in the promotion of coordinated obligations were not faithful and straight.”
According to the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan, banal fabrications and deliberate deception from Armenia are part of the long -standing policy of Yerevan to disinformation, carried out against the background of its many years of egregious violations of international law.
“It is paradoxical that Armenia is a country that unleashed aggression against Azerbaijan, which has been undergoing the sovereign territories of my country for almost 30 years, which carried out massive ethnic purges and committed other vile crimes during the war – now appeals to the UN Charter and international law. However , it would be naive to believe that Armenia suddenly realized the imperative of compliance with the norms and principles of civilized behavior and revised the deeply rooted stereotypes of racial hatred and superiority, ”he added.
