Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan at UN: Armenia has no right to make any statements

“Azerbaijan remains a firmly committed to the restoration of the liberated territories, as well as the promotion of stability and development in the region.” This was announced at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the permanent representative of Azerbaijan at the organization Yashar Aliyev.

According to him, Baku advocates the opening of regional transport communications and the prosperity of the South Caucasus.

“The position of Azerbaijan is based on international law and adopted practices. At the same time, Armenia’s attempts to fulfill the agreements reached, makes this country an violator of international obligations. Armenia has neither moral nor legal right to make any statements,” said Y. ALIEV.

He also noted that the current escalation of the situation on the Azerbaijani -Armenian border is not the only incident, but the link in the chain of a number of Armenian provocations over the past few months, when the Armed Forces of Armenia repeatedly fired at the positions of the Azerbaijani army.
