Permanent Representative of Russia at UN left Council of Security Council in Ukraine

The Permanent Representative of Russia at the UN Vasily Nebenzya left a meeting of the UN Security Council before the performance of the Ukrainian Permanent Representative Sergei Kislitsa. The meeting was convened because of Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Russian media write.

“I would like to warn in advance that today the next portion of the evil tirade of the representative (Ukraine – Ed.) within the walls of the Security Council and thereby give him some strange and vicious pleasure that he receives from this, I will not”, ” – said the Russian diplomat.

Before leaving, he read a speech in which he stated that Russia did not buy drones from Iran. He recognized the damage to the civil infrastructure of Ukraine, but said that this happened only “when drones shot at the very target by the detachments of the Ukrainian theorborne and deflected because of this from the original course – or when the missiles of Ukrainian air defense flew into civilians, incapable of intercepting their goals” .

Vasily Nevornya accused the Western countries of supplying weapons to Ukraine, with which Kyiv strikes its “former territories.” In particular, according to the Zaporizhzhya and Kakhovsky power plants, the city of New Kakhovka in the Kherson region, as well as in the territories of Russia, “aiming at the civilian population and civilian infrastructure.”
