Moscow is interested in the development of good relations with Baku. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
The Kremlin representative noted that the events in Yekaterinburg are associated with the work of law enforcement agencies and should not become a reason for the demarchee.
“We are interested in developing our good relations with Azerbaijan,” said Peskov.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that Moscow regrets Baku’s decisions to cancel events in the Russian Federation.
“We sincerely regret in connection with such decisions. It is important to continue to work to clarify the reasons and the nature of those events that, according to the Azerbaijani side, served as the reason for such demarchees,” said Peskov.
He also added that the conversation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the agenda is not.
“At the moment, there is no such conversation on the agenda, but on the other hand, if necessary, it will take place in the shortest possible time,” Peskov said.
