Philippines: Volcano Kanlaon Volcano

On the island of Negros in the Philippines, one of the most active volcanoes of the country – Canlaon.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the eruption of the Canlaon volcano began at 02:55 local time and lasted 5 minutes. It is noted that during the eruption of the volcano, a grayish volumetric pillar was formed, which rose to a height of about 3 kilometers.

The third level of volcanic anxiety is still operating on the territory around the volcano.

PHIVOLCS advised residents of settlements located near the Volcano to be prepared for evacuation, and also called to be careful due to the possible converting consequences.
