“Architect Putin” Lanfranco Chirillo is accused of financial fraud, money laundering, violation of the Code of Protection of the Cultural Heritage, as well as in drawing up an incorrect tax return, writes Edition IL GIORNALE DI BRESCIA.
Edition argues that, after 20 years of work in Russia, Chirillo returned Italy and settled in the town of Ronkadele in 2017. In February of this year, the prosecutor’s office issued an architect arrest warrant, which since 2014 is a citizen of Russia.
The architect was searched on his four villas in Italy and seized a helicopter for 2 million euros, Picasso, Cesanna, Kandinsky, Chagal and others.
The protection of the architect is confident that he will be able to collect documents and testimony, proving that its income was obtained outside Italy and, therefore, the tax authorities are not due.
“I am surprised that I encountered such a problem after actually lived for more than 20 years in Russia. I am proud to have done an important work, giving work to dozens of Italian companies and bringing the best of Italian skills in the houses of many of the most important and Of Russia’s influential people. Previously, the media wrote that Chirillo is the architect of the “Winter Palace” on the Black Sea coast, where important state techniques are held. It was also reported that Chirillo designed several mansions for the leaders of such companies as LUKOIL, Gazprom and Novatek.
