Pilgrims will not be allowed in Saudi Arabia without insurance from Covid-19

Muslim pilgrims will be able to take part in Haji to holy places in Mecca and Medina only in the presence of medical insurance from coronavirus. This decision was made by the authorities of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Gazette newspaper reported on Monday.

Medical insurance should cover treatment from coronavirus, the passage of quarantine, if a person fell ill, as well as its transportation to his homeland in case of an emergency.

On Sunday, it was announced that Saudi Arabia opens the borders and removes restrictions on traveling its subjects to other countries from 01:00 local time on May 17. Restrictions were introduced on December 21.

This year, Big Hajj to the shrines of Islam falls on the second half of July. Small hajj can be made at any time of the year.
