The terrorist organization PKK/YPG, operating under the name “Syrian Democratic Forces”, has deployed mortars in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah areas in the north of the Syrian city of Aleppo.
According to the Syrian state TV channel Al-Ikhbariya, the terrorists have begun to strengthen their positions in the occupied areas, installing mortars and heavy weapons.
On October 6, violent clashes between PKK/YPG and government forces took place in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, resulting in the death of three people, including two civilians.
Following these events, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that an agreement had been reached with PKK/YPG on a comprehensive ceasefire in the north and northeast of the country.
