PlayStation will launch online cinema

Sony will launch a cinema for PlayStation users. It is reported by the VGC edition.

Journalists of the publication discovered the banner and description of the PlayStation Plus Video Pass service on the Polish PlayStation site. The report said that the new service “became available for a limited time for PS PLUS subscribers.” The description also specified that the subscription is valid for the year – from April 22, 202 to April 22, 2022. After the mention of the video service was noted, Sony closed the appropriate section on the site.

According to experts, with the launch of its own online cinema, Sony intends to increase the value of the PlayStation Plus subscription and impose a stronger competition of the Xbox Game Pass service. The authors appealed for a comment to Sony Interactive Entertainment, but the company ignored the request.

Also on the closed site, a mention of three films was found to be available in the start-up – Venom, BloodShot and Zombyend. All Taitles were removed by the Sony cinematic division.

Currently, third-party video services are available on Sony consoles, allowing watching movies and serials by subscription through the console. These include Netflix, Disney +, Apple TV.
