Poland promises to defend Sweden and Finland from attacks

Poland promises to defend Sweden and Finland from attacks to their joining NATO, said the Prime Minister of the Republic Mateust Moravetsky, speaking at the Strategic Ark conference on Thursday in Warsaw.

According to Moravetsky, “the entry into the NATO of Finland and Sweden is a significant signal of security strengthening in Europe and a serious defeat of” Russia.

“I would like to clearly say that in the event of an attack on Sweden or Finland in the process of their joining NATO, Poland will come to their aid,” the Moravetsky RIA quotes.

Note, Finland and Sweden on Wednesday transferred the Secretary General of NATO to Jens Stoltenberg applications for joining the Alliance.
