Police detained in public places 15 patients with COVID

On April 8, police officers detained 15 active patients with coronavirus in public places, which rudely broke the quarantine rules.

As reported in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, due to the positive test on COVID-19, these persons were aimed at insulation and treatment at home. Despite this, they left the place of residence, than the health and life of other people.

Police officers held an explanatory conversation with the detainees, returned them home with compliance with medical procedures and informed the relevant health authorities.

For three detainees, criminal cases under Article 139-1.1 (violation of anti-epidemiological, sanitary and hygienic or quarantine regimes) of Azerbaijan are initiated. In relation to other citizens, the investigation continues.
