The Portuguese authorities refused to issue “gold visas” to all citizens of the Russian Federation who requested them after the war in Ukraine.
According to Publico, from late February to August, the Russians submitted ten applications, but they were all rejected.
Program for providing a residence permit of Portugal in exchange for investments in the country’s economy was also stopped.
The authorities of Great Britain, Greece and Spain have previously adopted a similar measure.
