The positive balance of foreign trade of the Russian Federation in January – May of this year decreased by 19.3% compared to an indicator a year earlier – to $ 52.6 billion. Such data are given by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.
According to FCS, export for the reporting period was reduced by 10.8 billion and amounted to $ 162.1 billion, while imports increased by $ 1.8 billion, to $ 109.5 billion.
Russian exports to European countries decreased by 11.3%, to $ 24.1 billion, and import from these countries by 2.8%, to $ 27.9 billion.
Export to Asian countries decreased by 5.2%to $ 123.3 billion, while imports from the countries of this region increased by 2.6%to $ 73.4 billion.
In the structure of the export of the Russian Federation for the reporting period, mineral products occupied the largest share – 91.1 billion dollars, and in the structure of imports – vehicles, equipment and vehicles – $ 53 billion.
The positive balance of foreign trade of the Russian Federation in 2024 increased by 0.82% compared to the previous year, reaching $ 122.6 billion.
