The Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the earthquake affected 8,436 people.
1,265 people were reported injured evacuated to safe areas, and 7,915 were forced to leave their homes.
Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Department said that the earthquake killed 7 and injured 11 people.

Earlier, on September 30, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the west coast of Palompon, killing more than 70 people.
