President and Foreign Ministry of Georgia are accused of Lukashenko

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili accused the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, who visited Abkhazia, Russian media writes of violation of international law and bilateral relations.

Georgian Foreign Ministry also made a statement in connection with the trip of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Abkhazia, where he held negotiations with the head of the so -called “republic” Aslan Bzhanya.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemns” Visit “by Alexander Lukashenko into the occupied region of Abkhazia with a violation of the state border of Georgia, which is a gross violation of fundamental principles and norms of international law. We urge the Belarusian side to respect the territorial integrity of the sovereign state within the international recognized boundaries”, – says in the statement of the Georgian foreign policy.

It was previously reported that Belarus’s ambassador Anatoly Fox was called to the Georgian Foreign Ministry in connection with the visit of the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Abkhazia, the Georgian side “expressed extreme concern about this and demanded additional clarifications from Belarus.”
