Azerbaijan attaches special importance to friendly relations and partnership with the United States.
This is stated in the congratulatory message of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to American colleague Donald Trump on the occasion of the National Festival of the United States of America – Independence Day. The text of the message was published by the press service of the President of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani leader emphasized that one of the characteristic features of the close partnership of the two countries is active and fruitful cooperation in strengthening international peace and security, the fight against terrorism and its various manifestations, in the field of energy security and in a number of other important directions.
“I would like to note with satisfaction that the United States of America for many years has been a devoted partner of Azerbaijan in the energy sector. Based on good traditions and built on a strong foundation, our cooperation in this area continues today,” the head of state noted.
He emphasized that Baku highly appreciates the constant support provided by the United States Azerbaijan’s energy strategy, as well as the implementation of giant projects, stability and development in the region.
Ilham Aliyev pointed out that today there are good opportunities for the withdrawal of friendly ties and partnerships between Azerbaijan and the USA to a qualitatively new level. “I believe that for the development of our mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, industrial, aviation areas, in the field of high technologies, investment and other important areas there is great potential. I believe that thanks to our solid political will and joint efforts and cooperation between our friendly and partnerships and will continue to continue to expand in the interests of our interests peoples, ”he said.
