Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Rome, the capital of Italy, to participate in the fourth intergovernmental summit of Türkiye-Italia. The visit is at the invitation of Italy Prime Minister Georgia Melony.
At the FUMICHINO International Airport Leonardo da Vinci President Erdogan, the Turkish Ambassador to Rome Elif Chomoglu Ulgen and other employees of the Turkish diplomatic mission.
The Turkish delegation accompanying the president on the trip includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Family and Social Services Makhinur Ozdemir Goktash, the Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Ashkyn Bak, the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersa, the Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler, the Minister of Industry and Meshmet Technologies Fatikh Kajyr, Minister of Trade of Omer Bolat, head of the National Intelligence Organization (Mi̇T) Ibrahim Kalyn, head of the Directorate of Relations under the Administration of the President of Turkey Fakhretin Altun, chief adviser to the president on foreign policy and security Akif Chagatai Kylych and head of the defense industry department Haluk Gergun.
As part of the summit, discussion of steps is expected to strengthen cooperation between Turkey and Italy, as well as the exchange of views on topical regional and global problems.
It is also planned to sign a number of agreements aimed at strengthening the contractual framework of relations between the two countries. In addition, it is planned to organize a business forum involving business circles.
