Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Azerbaijan on Tuesday, October 7, to participate in the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
At the international airport in Gabala, the distinguished guest was met by the Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev, the head of the Executive Power of the Gabala region of Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Ankara Rashad Mamedov and the Ambassador of Turkey in Baku Birol Akgun
The Turkish leader is accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, the Minister of Trade Omer Bolat, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu, the head of the Department of Relations with Turkic states Kurshad Zorlu, head of the Office of Relations under the Presidential Administration Burhanettin Duran, chief adviser to the president on foreign policy and security Akif Chagatay Kilic, chairman of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Shamil Ayrim and other officials.
The summit is dedicated to the topic “Regional Peace and Security”. The agenda of the meeting includes current issues of further development and deepening of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the UTC.
The head of the Turkish state will make a speech to the summit participants, and will also take part in an official dinner hosted on behalf of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
