President Erdogan Condemned Terrorist Attack In Church In Damascus

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan resolutely condemned the terrorist attack on the church of Mar Ilyas in the capital of Syria Damascus, emphasizing that Ankara would not allow the neighboring country to draw into a new wave of instability.

“I strongly condemn the vile terrorist act against the Church of Mar Ilyas in the Syrian Damascus. I express condolences to the families of the dead, relatives, the government and the people of Syria, and I wish the victims a speedy recovery.

We are on the side of the Syrian people and the government in the face of this vile terrorist attack, directed against peace, security, internal consent and culture of coexistence in Syria, as well as against the stability of our entire region. After many years of oppression and conflicts, our fraternal people of Syria first began to look into the future with hope. We will not allow the country to be drawn again into instability by the hands of hired terrorist organizations. Türkiye will continue to support the Syrian government in the fight against terrorism, ”says Erdogan’s statement in social networks.
