Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iraq Prime Minister Muhammad Shiya al-Sudani, after the completion of negotiations, took part in the ceremony of signing bilateral agreements and a joint press conference.
President Erdogan in his speech noted the importance of establishing a durable world in the region to implement economic projects and development, among which the project “Development Road”, which will connect the Persian Gulf with Turkey, especially noted.
According to the head of state, Ankara never shared and shares the world and stability in Iraq with Turkey and does not consider this issue separately.
He added that one of the main topics of the negotiations was the fight against terrorism.
“We confirm our determination in the continuation of the fight against the RSC, Fetö and Deash, which pose a threat to the national security of Iraq and Turkey,” the president said.
Speaking about joint economic projects, President Erdogan once again emphasized the special significance of the project “Road of Development”. He expressed confidence that the “development road” will make a great contribution to the stability and prosperity of both Iraq and the entire region.
“We want to quickly move forward on issues such as the resumption of oil supplies for the Iraq -Sturge oil pipeline,” continued Erdogan.
Commenting on the tension in the relationship between Pakistan and India, the president emphasized that Türkiye is making efforts to reduce tension and de -escalation:
“We are concerned that the tension in the relationship between Pakistan and India grew into a hot conflict, as a result of which many civilians died. Contrary to those who pour gasoline into the fire, we make efforts to reduce tension between Pakistan and India, until the events reached an irreversible point.”
