President Erdogan Discussed Bilateral Relations With Iraq Prime Minister

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Iraq Muhammed Shia al-Sudani.

According to the Directorate of Relations under the Presidential Administration, during the conversation, bilateral relations between Turkey and Iraq were discussed, as well as regional and global issues.

President Erdogan said that the “Türkiye without terrorism” process is carried out with special care, emphasizing that Turkey’s goal is the complete and final eradication of terrorism in the region. He noted that the steps in this direction will continue with determination, and that the country will remain vigilant in relation to those who are trying to undermine this process.

The Head of State also emphasized that Türkiye and Iraq continue to develop their relations, including through the implementation of the project “Way of Development” and other spheres of cooperation, based on the principle of mutual benefit.
