President Erdogan: Negotiations At Level Of Leaders Will Benefit Peaceful Process

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.

According to the statement of the Communications Department of the President of Turkey, in a telephone conversation of the presidents, bilateral relations between Turkey and Ukraine, regional and global events were discussed.

During the conversation, President Erdogan said that Türkiye will continue to make efforts to ensure a fair and strong world between Ukraine and Russia.

According to him, Türkiye advocates continuing the negotiations between the delegations of the two countries that began in Istanbul. Erdogan noted the importance that the exchange of prisoners, agreed in negotiations in Istanbul, was carried out in a short time.

Stressing that the discussion of a possible ceasefire during the second round of negotiations, which is planned to be held in Istanbul, will lay a strong basis on the way to the world, the head of the Turkish state added that the participation of both countries in a meeting with strong delegations is important to continue the dynamics achieved on the way to the world.

President Erdogan emphasized that after the negotiations between the delegations, negotiations at the level of leaders will benefit the peace process. In his opinion, this should be done without delay.
