President Erdogan: Negotiations Between Turkey And South Korea On Construction Of Nuclear Power Plant Continue

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after the completion of the negotiations, held a joint press conference with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at the Presidential Residence.

In his speech, the head of state noted that during the bilateral negotiations the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the current agenda of common interest.

According to the president, the leaders discussed the possibility of taking joint measures with South Korea in the field of the defense industry.

The President added that negotiations between the relevant institutions of Turkey and South Korea on the construction of a nuclear power plant are ongoing.

Regarding international issues, Erdogan noted that Turkey and South Korea support the continuation of the truce in Gaza, an end to the killing of innocent people and a two-state solution.

“Turkey will continue to support diplomatic initiatives aimed at ensuring lasting peace in Ukraine within the framework of the Istanbul process,” the president said Turkey.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that Turkey and South Korea can cooperate in various regions, including Syria, Gaza, the reconstruction of Ukraine, Iraq, Africa and Central Asia.
