Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
According to a statement published on the social network by the Office of Communications of the Presidential Administration, bilateral relations between Turkey and Venezuela, as well as regional issues were discussed during the conversation.
President Erdogan told Venezuelan President Maduro that he is closely monitoring developments in the region. According to the president, Turkey believes in resolving problems through dialogue and has expressed this on all platforms.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the importance of maintaining channels of dialogue between the United States and Venezuela and expressed hope for a speedy resolution of tensions.
