The Turkish KIZILELMA drone became the first combat drone capable of hitting targets beyond the line of sight, Turkey received a strategic advantage in the field of air defense.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated this while speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
In his speech, the head of state also noted that in 2026 Türkiye will become the center of international forums, having hosted the UN climate summit COP31, the NATO summit and the 13th summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
During his speech, the Turkish leader also touched upon the country’s successes in the field of economics. According to him, the Turkish economy maintained its growth trend, showing an annualized rate of 3.7% in the 3rd quarter of 2025 and ranking 4th among the countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
