President Erdogan: Türkiye Is Committed To Full -fledged Members In EU

Türkiye retains the commitment of a full -fledged membership in the European Union.

This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the “meeting of the leaders of the only-minded countries.” The event was organized by the EU in video conference mode.

According to him, Ankara expected the EU will take a strategic and far -sighted position and activate negotiations on negotiations on Turkey’s accession to the community.

“Joint planning of all steps regarding European security with Turkey will meet our common interests,” the Turkish leader emphasized.

The head of state emphasized that Ankara does not see any grounds for non-inclusion in Turkey in the EU programs for the purchase of defense products and the reconstruction of Ukraine. “For Turkey, it is important to include mechanisms such as the European Fund of the World, the purpose of which is the restoration and revival of Ukraine,” the politician said.

Turkish President indicated that to achieve a fair, strong and worthy world between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, a “solid diplomatic foundation is needed, on the basis of which the warring parties will sit at the negotiating table.” “Türkiye supports the initiative to cease fire and attacks in the air and at sea in the conflict of the Russian Federation and Ukraine as a measure of strengthening confidence between the parties,” Erdogan said.
