President Erdogan Urged To Take Care Of Nature In Message On Occasion Of World Environment Day

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed confidence that, as part of the initiative of the “Century of Turkey,” the country will achieve the goals to create the most suitable nature for life and efficient use of natural resources. In published on the occasion of the World Environment Day, he called on citizens and all of humanity accountable for nature.

“Nature answers us the way we treat it. Global warming, desertification, mass death of animals, sudden floods and landslides is a form of protection of nature from human cruelty,” the president noted.

Erdogan emphasized that on June 5 is not only the day of increasing awareness, but also a powerful call to action: “We have responsibility to build a more green, stable world and create a suitable environment for future generations.”

He indicated that humanity today has the greatest influence on nature in history – natural resources are rapidly exhausted, climatic changes are intensified, and the loss of biodiversity becomes irreversible.

“Earth, water, air and forests, we consider not as an inheritance, but as a trusted value that should be preserved for the next generations. This is one of our main responsibilities,” Erdogan emphasized.

The President said that Türkiye is actively implementing projects in the field of nature protection, green energy, waste processing, zero pollution and environmentally friendly urbanization.

“I again turn to all citizens and all of humanity: be attentive to issues of energy efficiency, waste management, nature protection and environmentally friendly consumption. Congratulations on June 5 – a World Environment Day, I wish that respect for nature and a conscious approach to life spread in all layers of society,” Erdogan added.
