Kazakhstan President Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev laid flowers on Monday in Astana to the Otan Ana monument and honor the memory of the Cossack warriors who died during the Great Patriotic War.
The Presidential Orchestra performed the state anthem, and the company of the honorary guard was a solemn march in front of the participants in the event.
At the end of the ceremony, Kasym-Jomart Tokaev talked with veterans.
The president congratulated them on Victory Day and wished all Kazakhstanis good health and prosperity.
